About
Helium is the second lightest element and the lightest noble gas, with a full outer electron shell. It is extremely inert at room temperature and pressure. It accounts for approximately 5 ppm in the Earth's atmosphere but is extremely abundant in the universe.
With its extremely low boiling point, helium is widely used in MRI superconducting magnet cooling, deep-sea mixed gas, protective gas for precision welding, and inert carrier gas in scientific research.
